No, this isn't another "digital music? Boooo! Physical versions? Yaaay!") thread, more the effect your iPod or whatever has had on your listening habits.
I didn't think I would ever take to an mp3 player. Dunno why, but when Mrs C bought hers I was largely "meh" about the whole thing. Now I couldn't live without it - even if I'm popping out for five minutes I take it with me, and when I don't have it (very rare) it bugs the living shit out of me.
Anyway, one thing I have noticed is how impatient I am with music now. When I put a CD on in the house I can happily have 9 minute tracks playing without a second thought - but when I'm listening to my iPod these are the first tracks to get skipped. I basically can't be bothered listening to lengthy guitar solos or whatever, and only the catchiest, most instantly agreeable tunes manage to last their duration.
So does anyone else do this? Is anyone else cursed with an itchy "skip" finger when it comes to music on the move?

I never really listen to music in my home anymore. I play almost strictly CD's in my car and use my iPod when I'm working in the yard or out watching my son play. Occasionally, I'll play it in my car, but I usually just stick a CD in so I don't have to mess with the adapter.
