One thing I've always liked is bands insulting other bands, especially if its a band I like dissing a band I don't like, and ESPECIALLY if its a "ooooh, SNAP" comment. Anyway, NME have compiled a list of 50 of "the best" (or "50 we can think of") here. There's a few UK bands you American Dwellers may not have heard of, but Slipknot, Metallica, Dave Grohl and, er, Miley Cyrus all get a look in too.. www.nme.com/photos/the-most-vicious-put-downs-in-music/128135/1/1

That Miley Cyrus one was fucking hilarious. Reznor fucking reemed Cornell. Taylor has had much better ones then that. Gwar jacked him up pretty bad once, too. They forgot ICP telling Sharon Osbourne TO HER FACE "Buff my pickle you fat bitch" or something along those lines. A lot of those were weak as hell, too. The Chilis hated on Patton? They must fucking die.

HAHA great list man. I knew trashy'd be all over that RHCP crap. I loved Sharon Osbourne cutting down Bruce Dickinson. And the Miley Cyrus entitlement smackdown, the little rich bitch. I was shocked Dre Dre wasn't on that list for his song Fuck wit Dre Day. He owned Eazy, Luke, and Tim Dog big time.

Sharon has said worse about Dickinson. She also had her cronies pelt Maiden with eggs and shut down their power mid-song THREE TIMES during a live gig. Fucking bitch. At least the crowd threw their beers on her afterwords. If rap songs were allowed on the list, there'd be nothing else, Mackshere. Those dudes are brutal. No ICP was a crime, though. Those guys talk mad shit. And here's your #1 musical diss right here: www.antimusic.com/news/03/jan/item3.shtml

Pretty good list. I'll say though it's hard to take the one about RHCP too seriously...it's quoted from THE ONION.

I read the interview and it seems legit. There's actually a much more brutal comment in there where Patton refers to the Chilis as a shallow parody of themselves or something great like that.

I was shocked Dre Dre wasn't on that list for his song Fuck wit Dre Day. He owned Eazy, Luke, and Tim Dog big time. Whoa, whoa, whoa... Dre owned Eazy? I think not, Mackshere, I think not. "Real Muthaphuckin' G's" definitely put Eazy at the top of that feud. As for the list, I find it funny that Marilyn Manson accuses people of ripping him off. The guy is just a bad Alice Cooper knock off. And they picked the lamest Sharon-Dickinson comments. Those were weak.

I don't know, Ben. I'd give it to "Dre Day" myself for pure viciousness. Let's let the fellow Dwellers decide.
Fucked in the ass with a lesbian mama and a "will rap for food" sign:
Embarrassing photos:
Great songs, both, but let me point out that none of these motherfuckers are the real gangsta deal. E could easily turn his own disses on himself there. Dre and Snoop were fucking devastating regardless.

The Sharon Osbourne rips I think are hilarious. The fucking irony! Like a retarded kid calling Einstein stupid. As far as the rap diss game, how the hell did we forget Ice Cube's NO VASELINE!?!?!? "Cuz y'all gettin fucked outtcha dreams by a white boy...with no vaseline".

Awesome diss trashy!!!!!!! Listen to this, I swear this is a true story... I hung out after a Gwar concert at a little bar near my house. I eventually snuck backstage and met the band--they are so damn cool! I gave them all copies of my book Heart & Soul, and they asked ME for my autograph!?!!?! How cool is that?

I can't find it anywhere, but there was a 50 greatest male artists show on VH1 a few years back, and Noel Gallagher from Oasis (I don't like the band, but Oasis interviews are always hilarious) was commenting on some of the choices. He called Phil Collins the anti-Christ, and then went into a rant about Boyzone dork Ronan Keating. "He's a bloke that was in a band that were a costume change away from the Telletubbies. If Ronan Keating is above me in this list, I personally guarantee that I will retire from music forever." Cut to Ronan Keating being shown the clip, who stutters out, "ah, well.. that's Noel, isn't it? He's entitled to his opinion." BURN.
But anyway - Mackshere, a published (I'm, ahem, "getting there") writer in our midst - tell us more. What's the book about?

It's a poetry comic book called "Heart & Soul". Mainly it contains emotional prose, but there is a little bit of political and philisophical tirades. Nothing too deep, I wrote much of the entries in my innocent naive days, when I thought the world was a bubbling crockpot of moral righteousness. I will occasionally post some entries here in the Fortress. My CHAMP poem didn't make the cut into the book, sadly. It is one of my personal faves, but it just didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the book.
