Imagine the scene: Mrs C actually texts me in the morning to tell me she's just read that Miley Cyrus was pole dancing at some kids choice award. "Find it on Youtube and enjoy!" She, you know, understands.

Anyway, one click on the net and it seems everyone is pretty much calling her a whore, and all the usual bad role model, out of control, Britney blah blah blah. And have you seen the offending footage? Talk about fuss about nothing. And utterly disappointing.



Now, I'm no expert - but that sure as hell doesn't look like pole-dancing to me. Oh, and that new song is fucking DREADFUL. I've got a lot of time for her last album (I bought it.. for Mrs C, of course, ahem) but that song is.. ugh. Wrong.

But you want to know what's more wrong than that song and even that non-pole dance?

Well there was certainly a pole of sorts and she was dancing in it's general vicinity. At one point, she even had a hand on it. Of course, the pole was part of some weird ice cream cart, but I would consider stuffing a dollar bill into those hot pants if I were 13. So anyways, how is that song any worse then the other brain-deadening bubblegum children's pop-rock numbers she performs?

As for the song, I dunno, it just sounds like every other limp piece of tween shit out there. At least her other stuff, ahem, "rocks" more.

Anyway, different slant on this - you've got a kid, Trash. I'm not sure what age he/she is - but will you let them watch all those Hannah Montana kind of shows?

He's 3 and I'd be a little worried if he was into Hannah Montana at this point. He does love to dance, though so anything musical he enjoys. My kid will be allowed to watch anything he wants except FOX News, hardcore grindhouse flicks, and porn.

But yeah, 3 is too young for Hannah, I guess. Are the Teletubbies big over there? I remember seeing one on the Simpson's which sort of blew my mind (I thought they were only big in the UK). They had a number one single and everything.

Those things are goddamn creepy. That baby in the Sun,...YIKES! They are well known here and even got reemed by religious morons for having a supposed gay agenda. I hope I never hear that hit single.
