The Curmudgeon's a bit of a Dylan fan. Not a huge, Prince/Bowie type fan or anything, but I've got a bit of the man's work, used to have a super cool poster of the guy in my bedroom Back In The Day (urgh, fucking HATE that phrase), but here's something I didn't know. In short - Bob Dylan wrote every song. Like.. ever. www.jokeroo.com/video/funny/bob-dylan-no-direction-period.html#I don't know whether this video is funny or depressing, when you stop and consider the sheer HORSESHIT that passes for hit records now. But hey, lay of Daniel Powter, dammit!

I listened to nothing but Dylan for about two weeks thanks to Mackshere showing me "Hurricane" and then me noticing a Dylan best-of collection at Target for only $10. Amazing body of work. And his songs are written in such a way that they can be covered in almost any style. Just Awesome.

Ever heard Alanis Morrisette's take on My Humps, Wolf? She turns the whole thing into this woe-is-me ballad, making the whole song sound as shallow and empty as it really is. Probably the best thing she's done in about 10 years.
