Simple as it sounds, this one. If some horrible, Doctor Doom style dictator suddenly rose up and took over, making it illegal to enjoy both music AND movies (including TV), meaning you had to choose one or the other, what would it be? And no, revolting or breaking the law is NOT an option here either.
So what could you, if you had to, live without? I would have to pick movies to live without. My whole day revolves around enjoying music. From leaving the house with my iPod (which I never leave without), to sitting at home listening to CDs, trawling through the net looking for new bands and albums, buying and owning CDs to discussing it with others - I love movies, no question, but I simply adore music.
So that would be my choice (all the while waiting for a Fantastic Four type group to come and topple the dictator, obviously). How about you?

You are asking the wrong question. The correct poll would be be "Would you rather be blind or deaf?" because there is no possible way I would give up movies OR music unless my physical ability to enjoy them was disabled. Doom would have to kill me otherwise. I'd be looking for radioactive spiders to get bitten by or breaking into doctor's offices to blast myself with x-rays. Years ago, I would have stuck with music, but I don't have as much time to listen to music as I used to so I'm going to have to give movies the edge at this point in time.

Music. I don't leave home without my Ipod either, and half of my day at either school or work is spent listening to music discreetly. When I'm home I almost constantly have the radio on, if not a cd. Movies would be tough to do without, but not nearly as tough as music would be.
