First of all, I DO apologise for that horrific spelling. Blame alcohol poisoning or something. Anyway, I got thinking about this the other day when I saw a Batman t-shirt for sale. It was just the standard, well, the NEW standard logo.. That one, and I walked away, not interested. Same with any "Why So Serious" shirts going around right now. They're just too... recent for me. Now, if it had been THIS Batman logo on a shirt.. You know I'd be all up on that. It's the same with anything, really. I've got a Pac-Man t-shirt (well, it's just the ghosts), and it's the traditional old blocky characters, instead of, say, this abomination, which was also available. So why is that? Why do we tend to go for the retro look more than the modern designs? Do they look better? Is it for the nostlagia factor? Or is it just me?

My buddy at work has that old-school Batman logo tattooed on him. Pimp. Vintage classic is your way of saying "This is what I grew up on. The REAL deal." as opposed somebody who just hopped on the bandwagon.
