Here's some more pics of one of THE movies The Fortress is all a-quiver about.. First, the teaser poster.. And Batman.. and the new boy.. Is it me, or does Batman look like an action figure?

Batman's suit does look to be a bit on the mechanical side. Hell, if it weren't for the partially visible face I'd almost say he looked like a Mecha-Batman. I do think the suit looks cool though, with the fact that the Dark Knight can FINALLY turn his head for the first time in any movie, and supposedly this suit is just a two-piece deal. All of those armor plates and do-hickies and what not make it look complex, but they're actually attached to two cloth interior pieces which Christian Bale can slip into and out of as easily as a shirt and pants (plus the mask, cape, gloves, and boots). Very cool.
And Ledger as the Joker is just oozing greatness. With everything we've seen of this, and with the wonder that was Batman Begins, how could anybody NOT be pumped for this film?

I just really hope it's not The Joker Movie, and Batman is made to look dull and monosyllabic and all people talk about afterwards is The Joker. Y'know.. kinda like the first Batman movie.
I just have a sneaky feeling that it's gonna happen...

That is an interesting concern, and you've got a point. I do hope it doesn't end up like that.
I like the first Batman for its unique and stylistic take, but it definitely wasn't Batman-centric. Nicholson was shoehorned into the limelight too much, to the point where it was never really The Joker on the screen, it was always Jack Nicholson as The Joker.
I dig both the Caped Crusader and Dark Knight approaches to Batman, but Batman Begins is without question my ideal take on the character. I've got faith that The Dark Knight will take that one step further.
