So! My lack of content to discuss is a bit pitiful. In this case I went and reviewed a large amount of things - brief as they maybe to "Fortress" standards. I want to post them on here as no one looks at ODEON's website for reviews of all the films I go see. Wankers. This section of films covers mostly films I went to see when a> I had money b> had time and c> had no responsibilities. Alright so let's start this baby off -
Attack The Block (15)
Genre: Comedy, Urban
Film running length: 87 min
(excl trailers and advertisements)
UK release date: 13/5/2011
Directed by: Joe Cornish
Country: United Kingdom
Language: English
Distributor: Optimum Releasing
Who´s in it?
Nick Frost, Jodie Whittaker, Luke Treadaway, Joey Ansah
What´s the plot?
From the producers of Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim Vs the World, ‘Attack The Block’ is a frantic, funny and frightening action adventure film set in a London housing estate – that becomes the setting for a sci-fi showdown. When a gang of savage alien monsters invade the inner city, a group of teenage kids take it upon themselves to save the day, and become sci-fi superheroes.
My Rating: (*)(*)*** <2/5>
My Review: I did not want to actively go and see this film; however there were other forces at work that brought me to be in front of the big screen to see this. However I am extremely glad that I did go and see it. I got the best view for a film I wrote off as ‘awful’ from the trailers. It wasn’t awful, not at all. I thought this film was ok. Much better than I originally thought it would.
The best point in this film is that it has Nick Frost as a semi main character. He brings a slow sarcastic humour to the film but like I said he IS a Semi main character. What else redeemed this film was the clever ways of using the environment around the main characters. There were some parts where I was left going “Whoa” afterwards.
But sadly for me this film had a lot of negatives, it generalises the youth of Britain as that stereo typical “Hoodie” nation. There are people like that but with the way this film looks, that it is rife with every kid. It focuses on the deprived end of London who according to this film are all in gangs under the age of 22. I think what shocked me is the language they had younger actors using, it encourages awful stereotypes and I feel that took a lot from the film.
The film was ok but that is all, watch it if you can stomach “Britain”.

Guys I want your thoughts if you have seen it - if you haven't give the trailer a watch. I want to know would you watch this? I want to know why, I want debate! Go!
