In, you know, an even more manly way than last time.Short history lesson - The Curmudgeon has given Invisible Wolfman a manly, "yo, you just scored a goal, I shall show you my appreciation with this gesture and then we shall go for a few beers and then kill a deer - with our bare hands - later" hug. Remember it? likeasquashedoctopus.blogspot.com/2006/05/curmudgeon-gives-invisible-wolfman-hug.htmlNow you do. And it now seems that another hug is in order, because I got a little parcel in the post this morning, a thank you for the Voices Of Reason radio segments I recorded for Wolfman's show (before time restraints sadly prevented me from continuing to do so). So as a thank you, Wolfman got me two very cool looking indie movies; Going To Kansas City (which I'd actually heard of and thought looked cool) and Leningrad Cowboys Go America, which I'd never heard of but after some internet research sounds absolutley awesome. ("The funniest rock and roll movie ever made", "Finland's Answer To Spinal Tap" - consider this movie now vital on the must see list). And hey, he also sent me some Finnish chocolate, which came in a hard egg shell that pretty much got devoured after I'd tasted it. Oh, and The Wife(tm) says thanks for hers too! People - The Curmudgeon doesn't get thank you gifts very often, because The Curmudgeon doesn't really do anything to get thanked FOR. He also doesn't get (excellent, heart-felt) gifts for doing something that was a pleasure to do in the first place. Invisible Wolfman - you're a cool guy. And a good friend.

The Curmudgeon, I'm quite pleased that you recieved them and that you have enjoyed the chocolate. I'm also extremely relieved to know you're looking forward to the two movies. I value all the work you did for those VOR segments and I wanted to reflect that with the choices of gifts. It seems that the careful consideration I put into them has paid off. ;D THANK YOU, The Curmudgeon, for being a good friend and a great segment host! Best Regards, InvisibleWolfMan

Tch, well.. no, OK, the kitten image is a little.. well.. you see, I didn't actually MEAN it to.. Right. Fine. Consider the image changed. There - wrestling. A bearhug. Manly enough for you, pedant? Could have been worse, I suppose - I could have used THIS wrestling pic.. Funny how the same thing can look so different...

This reminds me, InvisibleWolfMan. How about posting some of the big man's radio bits on here like you did those others? I tried to catch it live, but the hours were really bad for my schedule. Still, I think we'd all love to hear that stuff. Also, Curmudgeon, was that last picture really necessary? YEESH!! I think I'll go oggle those Kelly Brook and Liv Tyler pics once more, lest I lose my ability to become aroused ever again.
