The new X Box was announced to much hype and fanfare, and after all the hype and hooplah had died down, the one remaining sound that could be heard was this one. I've never been an X-Box fan, if there can be such a thing, but the press release seemed to be "Skype! Social media! Watch TV! ... oh, and some games and shit." For a games console, it really didn't seem too invested in, y'know, GAMES. Yeah, it's a whole new entertainment "hub" that lets you make video calls, change TV channels by swiping your hand at the screen and all that shit.. but is this the future of games consoles now? A great Cracked article summed it up.. www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/5-features-new-xbox-that-are-about-to-ruin-everything/So, yeah. Not buying into this console at all. Thoughts?

Th PS3 is looking better to me than any of the next-gen ones, truth be told. These fuckers ain't shown me shit. I definitely want to see that Halo series, but you know it'll be coming out on DVD so I sure as hell am not spending half a thousand dollars or whatever on a new console to play CoD on for that. Microsoft claims that the first year of release will feature 15 exclusives, but until I see those exclusives, they can kiss my ass. With the 360 life cycle winding down, I'm going to take the time to go back and replay some favorites I haven't had time for with some DLC *cough*MassEffect*cough* and if I'm still not impressed with the PS4 and Xbox One, I'll get a PS3 instead and play all of the games I've been missing out on. Also, fuck your dog, CoD, and fuck your presentation, Microsoft.

OK, close down the internet. Nothing's topping that this year.

That was pretty glorious. The more I hear about this, the more I'm hating it. Now the conspiracy theorists are out in force. i.imgur.com/Wl512zG.jpgThe question is: are they even a little bit wrong? Do you fucking want an electronic device in your house that can do all of that shit? I do not. I've got nothing to hide, but I simply am not comfortable with this kind of thing on principle. I hope I don't miss out on anything awesome. Microsoft has been good to me and the last two consoles have been awesome, but I can't get behind any of this. Time to get reacquainted with my old friend, Sony.
