As you read this, a frothing at the mouth "journalist" is already seeing red and planning a lengthy article of hate based on a brand new superhero cartoon. That would be SHE-ZOW, which not only is the world's worst superhero name ever but, wait for it.. the world's first cartoon transgender superhero. That's SHE-ZOW, and the basic premise of the show is, and this is a quote; "A 12-year-old boy — named Guy — uses a magic ring to transform himself into a legendary crime fighter. When evil lurks, Guy says, “You go girl!” and becomes SheZow." "You go, Girl?" I get this is aimed for kids in 2013, but was it written in 1998? And what exactly is this supposed to teach kids? That transgender men are women during the day? I like the idea behind it, I guess, but man does this ever feel clunky and thrown together. At least it'll be the basis of some, er, interesting cosplay. Like that.

That's a pretty tiny audience they're appealing to. Unless the writing is god-tier, expect a big PC outpouring of support followed by a quiet cancellation after nobody watches it.
