Nintendo. They've pretty much given more than one generation a childhood of gaming magnificence. Often of substance over style (Early Mario and Zelda in particular) and packed their games with creativity, depth and amazing , timeless characters. They also produced a whole ton of utter shit. But we're not talking about that today. I'd imagine this would generate some pretty heated debate among certain circles, but what the hell. Here's a list I found online of the 30 best Nintendo games - ever. Is YOUR favourite on here? www.buzzfeed.com/josephbernstein/30-for-30-nintendo-editionWhat's notable is the inclusion of the same names over and over and over again. If it wasn't for Mario and Zelda, how many truly classic games do Nintendo have to offer?

Firstly they have got moany of these right however to not have one single Pokemon game in there is not only an outrage but a fucking travesty!!! Pokemon heartgold & soulsilver were released in Europe in march 2010 and better than epic mickey in so many ways.
Pokemon has a cult following which would rival any Disney fans!
It revitalized 2 of the classic Pokemon games for the game boy and added features to them to prepare for the release of the new generation of Pokemon in 2011.
This brings me on to Pokemon black & white and B2 and W2 both the latter being compatible with the 3DS and completely different from the original black and white versions. released in 2011 and 2012 consecutively
I would say the black and white would more than likely be on par with Zelda SS (I have not got round to playing this yet) however i would bet a weeks wages on B & W 2 being better than xenolith and again would bet that the new Pokemon 3D will smash Luigi's Manson out of the park.
Pokemon should feature in this list somewhere. It is down to this franchise along with zelda and mario that Nintendo still exist in consoles and down to this franchise alone in my opinion that Nintendo's handheld consoles even shift units.

secondly no mention of simcity. Released in 1989 I would hazard a guess at it being better than ninja gaiden (never heard of it) Quite possibly the greatest sim game of all time. This list is bollocks.

Sim City was a PC port, I think, but no Pokemon on a Nintendo list is just ignorant. It looks like no portables are allowed, which explains the lack of Pokemon, but is kind of dumb since Nintendo is known for great portable systems and games. Seeing that the format is only one per year, you can't really call the list the best of all time; just the best game from each year.
I love that Chrono Trigger made the list. I'm kind of mad I never got around to buying the DS port of that one before the price shot up.

So hang on a minute, no pokemon AND no Star Fox? Is this for real. I was up with this list until to Banjo Tooie. Why the hell is this even on here... Banjo Kazooie was simply brilliant game. I usually hate those kind of games - but the humour was perfect unlike it's spirtual spin off - Conker's Bad Fur Day (a pile of wank). Banjo Kazooie wasn't on the list and yet the really poorly made Banjo Tooie (that flopped may I add) was? Pfft. It is clear to me that the person who wrote this is obviously not intelligent enough to publish a list about this. He has grabbed a bunch of his favourite titles and ignored the others. TCM is right though MAXIS were the company that made SimCity Rowena, they ported it to SNES after it did so well on the PC. Even so, were gonna ignore Starfox for the SNES and Lylat Wings (or Starfox 64), not to mention the countless Pokemon games mentioned by Mrs C. Must disagree though that as much as I enjoy Black & White/B 2 & W 2 - they don't really compete with a big console title such as Zelda: SS. Taking my fandom aside, it's actually a genuinely ace game the only thing that let it down was the controls because it was on the Wii. Stupid motion gimmick. Black and White brought little to nothing new to the franchise apart from a new bunch of Pokemon (which admittedly were much better than the Pear/Diamond/Platinum shit they threw out). Good game but not in competition with something that around 6/7 years to make. Pokemon X & Y genuinely looking forward too, I hear we get sky battles now, which is pretty awesome. But if this is yet another rerun of that same mechanic with nothing sticking out as new it's gonna be something that makes me doubt the series. Nintendo as it stands, although have got the most solid and amazing foundations and history. They have been on a steady decline of quality and innovation. Take Mario as a good example, Galaxy was the last brilliant thing they did with those games - Galaxy 3 coming in 2015... it's like Nintendo like making us pay for the same shit day in and day out. I can't talk, I buy countless Zelda games but my point remains. I'm straying a touch, the list was "alright" but failed to mention some KEY video games and I am a bit disapointed with that.
