Arghh, this fucking thread. This is my THIRD time writing this message in about a week, and every time I try it at work it lets me write it, but then wipes it once I press send because I'm talking about games and stuff.
Fourth time lucky, and I think that Geek Culture thread is probably my favourite thing you've written to date, Trash. Some great points, and "the mundane's" is wonderfully condescending. Me and a friend used to call people who only liked the everyday mainstream shit and didn't venture into anything even remotely "different" as "normals." I was a prick as a kid as well.
I have ALWAYS wanted to own my own cinema, and for exactly those reasons. One week would be Universal Horror week, the next a Godzilla triple bill. It would attract all kinds of hipsters, no doubt, but it would be glorious. Even if I didn't own it personally I would go to something like that every damn week.

Why does everybody I know get to surf the web at their job? I need to move to a real city, man. I had some bad shit going on irl when I wrote that culture piece so I thought it turned out kind of shitty since my full attention wasn't there, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
