So what shaped YOUR 2013? Chances are, you'll find it here.. cdn.shortlist.com/resource/binary/210c90a7241304b3519fb92bc1bfa203/2013.jpgQuite sad that "music" in 2013 can be summed up by One Direction, Beyonce and fucking Miley Cyrus, with only Daft Punk helping to ease the pain a little. Remember when bands like the Strokes and the White Stripes were highlights of the year?

There's a new Assassin's Creed like every year so that one doesn't really belong.Love the Rhonda Rousey UFC homage, though. And Netflix shows taking everything over? So true. Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, and Hemlock Grove alone make it a better source of quality television than almost any actual television network aside from HBO (which costs more and gives infinitely less), and I haven't seen the new Arrested Development season or Gervais' show Derek yet. A lot of these went over my head, but that is a great image.

It's an American drawing so a lot of it was lost on me too. You are 100% right with Netflix, though. I only ever got it for the new series of Arrested Development and it's just fantastic. The content is one thing, but it's SO easy to use and so user friendly (never lose your place in a series, for example). And it's , what, six pounds a month or something? Crazy.
I'd say only Sky in the UK rivals it, but then you pay a lot more for it. I've not seen those shows you've mentioned but they will be watched one day. We're currently getting through the sublime Breaking Bad right now. The new series of Arrested Development is mind-bendindly complex. It's always been a show that rewards repeat views, I'm watching it again so I can work out just what exactly went on. We went from watching the first three seasons right to the fourth, and hey, we all get older but man it's noticeable. Time has been kinder to some (poor Steve Holt!) but it's definitely worth watching.
Derek is a surprise. Anyone expecting the usual Gervais acidic humour will leave disappointed, and anyone who slates the show because Gervais is mocking disability or whatever clearly hasn't seen it. It's perhaps the most sweet natured TV show I've seen in years. Believable, touching but most importantly, funny.
