My understanding is that transgender people feel as though they are the opposite gender they were born as. That would make someone born a "he" prefer to be referred to as a "she" and vice versa. This seems unnecessary. Acting like transgender people are a whole new species or gender rather than individuals with a psychological condition affecting their perception of their own gender may not be the way to go if abolishing oppression is the idea. And these new pronouns are hard to take seriously. It sounds like the speaker is jokingly trying to speak English in a weird accent or something.
