Anyone who comes on this website will have more than a passing interest in a variety of things. You'll probably love music and listen to a ton of it, or you love horror movies and have a whole bunch of DVD's and Collector Edition box sets to prove it. Comics, sci-fi, video games, wrestling...all of that stuff? Designed to take the money from your pocket, my friend.
And that's fine. But we obviously don't have that shit to burn, and we all have to do the daily grind to feed ourselves and any other mouths that depend on you. Sucks, and it means there's stuff out there, gorgeous, wonderful, non essential STUFF, that we just cannot afford.
I'm not talking about dream, super unobtainable stuff like Jimi Hendrix's guitar or the first issue of Spider-Man, more the sort of thing you probably COULD get if stupid real life didn't get in the way. Mine?
1. Genuine arcade cabinets.
I'm not talking a mint, original Pac-Man unit or anything, but I would LOVE a few old school arcade games in my house. My first choice would be Wrestlefest, the amazing wrestling game with the big chunky graphics, first ever use of steel steps as weapons (that wasn't seen again until easily ten years later). I actually researched how much it would cost to get a cabinet and some of those boards you use to put in the game itself, and it's..feasible. Will never happen though.
2. Bose music system.
I ordered a Bose catalogue just to torment myself, and by God does it sound great. The way they describe it makes it sound like angels singing in your living room. The initial price was £200, and I thought that was pretty damn reasonable and affordable until..ah. Instalments of £200. Right. It couldn't possibly sound THAT much better than my already decent Sony stereo. Who am I kidding? I bet it does.
Two of mine. What would you love to have but will probably never own?
