www.snopes.com/business/consumer/hersheyban.aspSo at this rate, Americans pretty much get Hershey or Nestle to choose from. How is it that you only get two brands of chocolate to choose from in such a massive country? Hello, modern capitalism! Whoever has the most money makes the laws and now everyone else is illegal. I love me some Hersey chocolate, but Cadbury is good shit and I have to admit this whole thing is pretty insane. Ironically, the law is technically on Cadbury's side here, but antitrust laws haven't been enforced since the Carter era with the exception of the Microsoft smackdown, which I'm actually pretty sure Apple paid for. So American companies can move to China to pay their workers in non-bullets for 17 hour work days just to ship the goods back to America to our now-jobless asses at no charge, but the government is intervening over candy bar names and wrapper colors. Fuck this gay Earth so much. And yeah, motherfucker. I could go for some Cadbury chocolate right about now.

Hey, how did I miss this one? I'm surprised I haven't heard of this anywhere else. So Cadbury's is banned, huh? Shit luck.
The first time I went to America I was genuinely excited in trying American chocolat. Hershey Bars and Reece's Pieces and all that stuff. I remember thinking it was pretty bitter and not as sweet as what I was used to. Saying that, American candies are BIG business in the UK now. It was once just websites, but there are entire entire stores, always busy, specializing in only American cereals, chocolate, drinks and candies. It's expensive shit as well, but I guess that's what happens if you want to try the Baby Ruth bar that was such a big deal in the Goonies.
But anyway, I can't really finish this thread right now. I'm just too damned busy enjoying all this Cadbury's goodness.

Urrrrgh. Actually, Cadbury's apparently has some factories over here or something because their Easter stuff is still available, thank god. It just isn't springtime without Cadbury's chocolate. I guess we just can't get the year-round imported stuff from Cost Plus and other places that specialize in imported deliciousness. It still sucks, but at least we can still get Cadbury eggs a couple months a year.
