Not even sure this is true, but let's speculate anyways. sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mma-cagewriter/wal-mart-won-t-sell-ronda-rousey-s-new-book-because-she-s-too-violent-180144157.htmlI don't need to point out that Wal-Mart has all kinds of gruesome media in video games, DVD, printed, and music form as well as selling implements of killing in-store on top of having a reputation as one of the most abusive, sweat shop-fueled corporations in existence, but I will. So no fucking way is the fact that Rousey engages in athletic combat for a living the reason she's be banned. I'm betting they rescind this ban quickly if it was ever an actual thing, but what do you suppose the real reason anyone would even have the idea would be? There's obviously some weird politics at play, but I can't imagine what they are.

She probably stomped on some CEO's cousin or something back in the day. I don't know, man, but I saw this on Yahoo and was similarly confused. I also wouldn't put it past a corporation like Wal-Mart to either be completely oblivious of the hypocrisy of such a move or just not think 95% of its consumers are intelligent enough to pick it out. I'm so sick of businesses and celebrities taking these calculated "moral" stands against things that aren't even bad. Your guess is as good as mine what the endgame is here.

I did a quick random Google search, and Walmart stocks a book written by Jenna Jameson. This is Jenna Jameson, a woman who earned a living having hardcore sex on camera for a living. Nothing wrong with that, but if you stock THAT but you don't stock a book by a woman who competes in athletic sports? That is all kinds of fucked up.
Ronda has addressed it better than any of us can;
"'Success is the best revenge' one of many lessons I learned from fighting that helped me fight through life's battles off the mat and outside the octagon. @walmart is welcome to watch the success of this publication from the sidelines if they choose. Pre-order #MyFightYourFight here: [Amazon link]"
So they're willing to SELL the book, which is awful nice of them, but they're not willing to have it in their stores. I... wow. I really have no idea behind the reasoning there.
