Two shows you must watch at any cost. You're the Worst is a show about insanely self-centered and jaded people in a relationship and is wrapping up its second season in which it took a darker, more serious dramedic turn as it deals with one of the characters mental illnesses. But it still remains one of the most relatably twisted and funny shows on the air. Scream Queens has set itself up for failure by framing itself as a cheesy 80's/90's horror send-up and then unleashing the nastiest satire of narcissistic millenial college culture possible upon the world. I mean, in the PC age, naming characters things like "Deaf Taylor Swift" and "Predatory Lez" and featuring a lecture from Jamie Lee Curtis eviscerating modern feminism on a major network is risky as hell, but hilarious. My only Christmas wish will be for another season. It just wrapped up on Tuesday and I miss it already. There has never been a show quite like it, and there may never be one again

Hmmm. "You're the Worst" hasn't, to my knowledge, made it over here. I will definitely keep an eye out for that. Sounds exactly like my sort of thing. Scream Queens is recorded on my SKY box, but just haven't got round to watching it. I think it pretty much vanished without a trace here, haven't heard one thing about it. Glad I recorded it, though. I'll let you know what I think. Speaking of new comedies, this is as good a time to mention "Silicon Valley", easily one of the best new TV comedies I've seen in quite some time. A comedy about computer programmers that doesn't revolve around LOL NERDS STAR WARS stereotypes and injects some real word modern computer business situations and dialogue without ever dumbing down and, oh yeah, make it hilariously fucking funny, and you have Silicon Valley. www.youtube.com/watch?v=69V__a49xtwArgh, God damn I love it.

They had me at Mike Judge. But yeah, man, DO NOT miss Scream Queens. It's without a doubt the best season of television I watched this year. They are planning on doing an American Horror Story kind of thing and doing an entirely new story every year, but as you said it didn't exactly set the world on fire so it may not be back. And definitely get with You're the Worst too. I'm pretty surprised it hasn't made its way to Netflix yet. It's the kind of show that would really soar in that format and most FX shows are on there. Keep an eye out for sure.
