Another month, another terrorist attack. Dozens of lives lost and we're nearly at the point now where it's just sort of... expected. I wish I had an answer to this seemingly never-ending problem, but I sure as shit knows that answer doesn't come from Donald Trump.
And yet it's this sort of atrocity that plays directly into his hands and his knee-jerk reactionary viewpoint shared by a worryingly enormous percentage of people. This is exactly what his campaign needed. If I was some YouTube conspiracy theorist, I would argue it's a little too timely. But I'm not insane, unlike the fuckers blowing people up for no reason at all.
So.. Donald Trump is going to be President of the United States. Calling it.

Consider the following: America and Co. have been meddling constantly in the Middle East and inciting conflict there since a least the 70's. We've been occupying and pummeling Iraq -a country that had zero ties to terrorism unless you count a president terrorizing his own citizens- for 15 years now and our body count there is in the 7 digit figures. you really think there were over a million terrorists in a country with no history of terrorism? There are 15 year old kids on the verge of adulthood there who have never known a single day in their lives where we haven't been killing their countrymen and destroying their cities. You want to know where terrorists come from? That's where. People are just a fuck of a lot less motivated to pack up and go blow themselves up or whatever to spite you when you aren't bombing their cities and raiding their neighbors and families, ya know? And our government has just raised an entire generation in the Middle East that knows nothing else. Throwing Trump into that mix makes the whole thing seem like we're living in some Mike Judge version of 1984. Terrifying and hilarious at the same time. Interesting time to be alive.

You know what the damnedest thing is? Trump sort of halfway predicted the Brussels attack. www.nytimes.com/2016/01/28/world/europe/trump-finds-new-city-to-insult-brussels.html?_r=0Not so smug now, are you New York Times? What you're saying about the whole mess being cyclical is pretty spot on, Trashcanman, but it's more than that, too. The Arab people who are or would be sympathetic to U.S. intervention in the Middle East either left Iraq and Afghanistan a decade ago or are being killed daily by ISIS, an organization that was only able to develop into what it is today because of the void Obama left behind when he withdrew our last contingent of soldiers from Iraq in 2011. Ideally, the Iraqis (or whoever) would have been able to take over the fight, but no Middle Eastern country has any desire to engage in a costly war against terrorism. The root of the problem goes all the way back to World War I when stupid British and French politicians drew borders around Middle Eastern countries without any regard for ethnic and tribal divisions. What knowledgeable and sane person ever would have put Kurds, Sunnis, and Shi'ites together in one country, Iraq, in nearly equal ratios? Fucking insanity. There isn't a leader alive who can solve the problems over there.
