 It's funny, but just a few threads down on the "What We're Into" section shows that I was completely non-plussed about the new consoles. In fact, I could have happily never even seen a Wii, but The Wife(tm) was adamant we were getting one for a)Zelda and b) Mario. Gotta admit, I'm really digging it so far. Not sure if I have the attention span to last for the likes of Zelda (especially after the stupid, alienating, over-difficult "fishing" part - hey, there's a good idea - make one of the very first challenges of a game almost impossible - brilliant) but the free sports package thing is superb. So here's my question: what other games is there for the Wii? The adverts are quite worrying: "The Wii! Sports package! Zelda! A shooting game! Sports package! Zelda! Um.." I like the look of the new TMNT game, but other than that I'm drawing a blank. Anyone else have a Wii or have a better knowledge of new games out there for somone wishing to play, like, more than one game? |

A few folk I know online have a Wii and swear by them.. Mind you, they also seem to waffle on about Zelda for most of that time, so, erm..
Personally, I'm just far more interested in the project to let PC users connect a Wii remote up... The most intriguing is the ability to play Half Life 2 using it!

I played some Wii Tennis on one a while back and my arm was freakin' killing me the next day. Fun as hell, though. I just wish someone had videotaped us; four grown men gathered about the television, swinging our arms around and swearing at each other. It would've been a riot to watch later. wii.ign.com would probably be the best place to browse the possibilities of your new console. |

It is still fairly new in its lifespan. Give it time for some great games to come out - I'm sure Nintendo isn't going to screw this one up.
I always hold off buying a new console for a few reasons - the price usually goes down once the hype goes down and there's a better selection of decent titles available.
