Yeah, but I never argued with Groucho. Fee For All, that's the one. Yeah, she was pretty sharp, although I could tell she was getting desperate when she started coming in here to get personal information to use as "ammo" against me. That wasn't very classy. And they're mocking The Curmudgeon, are they? Hmmph. When the cats away, eh? The mikado reckons that people who refer to themselves in the third person are just asking to be mocked  The Curmudgeon would remind you he has been doing this for years, and it's actually a bit of a habit more than anything else. Believe it or not, he actually got banned from another forum for doing it. |

It was a DVD forum a few years back, where I joined up and said something in a discussion along the lines of "The Curmudgeon bought this a few weeks ago.." And a moderator commented "please stop referring to yourself in the third person. Unless you're The Rock you sound retarded." I then went on (in the third person) saying I wasn't bothering anyone (or even harassing anyone), that I was merely there to trade DVDs the same as anyone else. Two posts later and I was banned. True story. |

Of course. I meant the shitty ones specifically. You may be a moderator, but you don't do much moderating do you? That's the difference. I once ditched a board I had joined because they had an entire "rant" section. Great idea. I partook and was told not to complain......on the rant board.

I remember I got banned from a site because the guy who ran it (a big hairy tub of shit) had a go at me because I had a "bad attitude." I said, "yeah? That's rich coming from a beardy weirdy child molester." And he banned me and "reported my IP" two minutes later - AND removed the comment.
Truth hurts?
