Let's face it - Halloween has had more than its fare share of DVD releases. 2 disc, directors cut, 25th Anniversary.. and, hey, it had to happen sooner or later - the 30th Anniversary edition. Oh, and it's 6 discs. Don't get too excited just yet, though - there isn't THAT many extras could fill 6 discs (and.. seriously, who would want to watch them all?) but what you do get is.. The Original 1978 film. Halloween Extended edition Halloween 4 Halloween 5 Halloween: 25 Years of Terror and a Blu Ray version of Halloween. Not sold yet? Yeah, you're sold now.

The only one of those discs I want is the original film, and I'm not paying upwards of $90 for that and a sweet mask. No sale.
I actually don't own this one yet. With all the releases out there, I just haven't bothered trying to find "the" one to buy.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK! Remember how I just bought it last Halloween and was saying I'd only waited so long because I was afraid of something like this? Yup. Never fails. No "Halloween 2" is bullshit too, and I won't pay for no blu-ray version until I get a player and I'm not planning on it. Sweet set, though.

Where is my mind? Why didn't I think of Halloween II? Why the hell isn't that there, when it's a direct and proper sequel to the first film, instead of the now non-canon 4 and 5? Looks like the pic has vanished. Oh well, for any of you Johnny come latelys out there, here's the link.. www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/halloween4.htmlI actually think Halloween II is a damn fine sequel. It made sense, it established Michael in a new way (Laurie's brother, the whole occult thing which kinda, sorta, explained his strength) and, well, when I was about 13, it scared the shit out of me.
