Depending on what source you read, this is either known as The Mysterious Stranger (of which it takes its name from the unfinished Mark Twain book), The Adventures of Mark Twain or even, to us stupid Brits, "Comet Quest."
It has, not too surprisingly, not been shown often on children's television.
"Sssssatan!"
I don't know what's more disturbing; Satan himself or the fact that Mark Twain just sits and strokes his moustache while the three children run after the creepiest thing in the world. Or maybe the fact the kids all look about 40.

Awesome.
"Come in." Ummmm.... sorry Satan, you seem like a nice enough creepy disembodied talking evil mask, but I think we're good here, thanks. How much you wanna bet all three of those kids hung themselves inside of a week?

If I were that ugly kid with the hook nose and saucer ears, I would have done it a long time ago.
I love that "come in" line, when Satan is standing outside. Way to headfuck the kids. I love this cartoon.

This scene is an excerpt from a movie called The Adventures of Mark Twain (or Comet Quest). The whole movie is made up of vignettes based on different Twain works, with this one being based on The Mysterious Stranger. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_Mark_Twain_(1985_film)en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mysterious_Stranger

I actually think it looks really good. I tried looking for it over here in the UK and even ebay didn't have it. American ebay did though, so I may well investigate it further. I hope Ssssssatan gets his own spin-off movie.
