EVER! OK, well, your favourites then. Might be a bit tricky getting them all now Youtube have lost their case to have them (thanks for that MTV. Maybe Youtube figured you don't actually HAVE any "music" on your wretched channel anymore) but let's try our best. First of all (and the video that gave me the idea for this thread), is Radiohead's breathtaking (literally) "No Surprises" video. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qqsyXdj_p_IA Spike Jonze masterpiece, the still flawless "Buddy Holly" video by Weezer. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FiIC5qcXeNUAnd the very first glimpse I ever got of Marilyn Manson with The Beautiful People. I remember thinking they looked like something from another planet and I was instantly hooked. Still looks great, still sounds great. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PTETiB5x-LwThat's three from me (and it was way easier finding them on Youtube than I thought - but let's see how long they actually last on there). So let's see some of YOUR favourite videos..

I know this is too obvious, but here goes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtyJbIOZjS8John Landis. Rick Baker. VINCENT PRICE. Dancing zombies. Werewolf. Simply the G.O.A.T. Argue not. Yes, those are all real mosh-pit moves. Don't stop the video until you've seen "emo style". They didn't show my Bushwhacker style. WHOOOOOAAA!! YAAAAAYYY!!!!

Damn, I knew I forgot one. I'm ebarassed that this one slipped my mind, since it creams the other two I posted. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx-0VJvQTZMExodus - Toxic Waltz It's basically a concept video on how to have fun (and get hurt) at a concert.

All I saw was a run-of-the-mill concert video, Ben. Is that the right one you posted?

Yes, but I picked the absolute shittiest version of it that exists on YouTube apparently. It's not live, even though they filmed it to look that way.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Anyhow, now that I've got a minute: "Rooster" can lay claim to best AIC song, but as far as videos go I've got to got with this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvCmwNdfTWgThis is actually from a movie, but it's a video with music and it fucking rules so I'm posting it anyway. I could post about 10 more videos of The D kicking ass, but I fear not even The Fortress could handle that much awesome.

You're having no luck with these vids, Trashy - the "John Landis" one (ooooh, let me guess, Thriller?) doesn't work and the one before the Tenacious D doesn't work either.
You know.. I can kinda take or leave Jack Black. In some ways I like him (the "Tribute" video for example), but the vid you showed there.. not so much. Each their own I suppose.
"Step Down" is fucking immense. I won't pretend to have heard it until now, but man that's a good song. I played that video about four times in a row. "Emo style" = genius. How old is this song? I always thought the term "emo" was a fairly new one. Over in the UK at least, "emo" means dressing like Gerard Way from MCR.
As for Thriller - there will be no arguments over its title of Best Video of All Time. I've never been that big a fan of the actual song itself, but the video is just a jaw-dropping piece of work.

Emo has it's roots in the late 80's/ early 90's when some punk bands were semi-jokingly dubbed emo-core -short for emotional hardcore. the word "emo" was usually derogatory, but impeccable bands like Fugazi (not actually an emo band, but influential nonetheless) made it cool for a while and it kind of evolved into the complete shit it is today as it gained in popularity and supplanted the goth scene.
Sick of It All have been around forever, but for some reason, I've never gotten around to buying an album. This will change some day. "Step Down" was released in 1994. I remember seeing the video somewhere and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. Let me fix those videos, now...
