Get ready to furrow your brows and say "awww", Dwellers, because your friend and humble narrator is not, as they say, in the pink.
The flu, then. Or the cold. I'm not sure which one it is, but it's got me shivering one minute and sweating the next. I've had to change my bedsheets three times in three nights due to me leaving a liquid version of myself (er, that would be sweat..nothing else) every night.
What's worse, I bought tickets to see the Mighty Boosh live about a year ago, and of all times to see them, it would have to be now, wouldn't it? Or Thursday, to be exact. Ah yes, nothing beats going to see a comedy show and throwing up in the toilet just before it starts. Brilliant. The show was good, though - but it damn near killed me.
So hopefully that explains the lack of action around here the last few days, guys - quite frankly, I'm just not up to it.
To be fair, I am better now than I was, say, on Wednesday, but I'm still not up for Fortress duties. Give me a few days though, and I'll be back in fighting form.
Now I'm off to torment Mrs C with my illness some more (as Homer Simpson said, "come fluff my pillows and pat my head!") That guy had the right idea...

Sorry, couldn't resist. So you, my wife, and my son are all sick now. Bow down before my unflappable constitution for I am the perpetually un-sick! You're pimp as hell for still going to that show. Get well soon.

Tut tut, you should never tempt fate like that you know, Trashy. Especially in such a gloating way, you healthy, never get sick bastard.
Anyway, you'll be glad to know I am up and about and, small chesty cough aside, good as new.

You wanna watch that cough TC, if there's a lot of mucus in it it's probably cancer. (!) Glad you're out and about anyway, (even if it sounds as if it might be temporary!!) free of a paticularly nasty lurgy doing the rounds. The normally picturesque Welsh countryside, particularly beautiful this time of year, looks like a 'Dead Set' out-take at the moment. People lying emaciated, spluttering and hacking all over the place, antidotes useless. I started taking multi-vits about 5 years ago, and cut my cold/flu allocation by about 60%. Worth a try m'dear. When you went to the doctor's, did you play the 'There's Nothing Wrong With Them' game in the surgery waiting room? Makes that 70 minutes just spin by.

I may well play that game.
