Oh NO. A Bob Dylan cover - from My Chemical Romance. vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=51474710Bit of a fan of the original, to be honest (I've got the Highway 61 Revisited album) and so I was prepared to hate this before I even heard it. That's not to say I hate MCR or anything (I don't have much of an opinion of them at all to be honest, they're just sort of.. there, to me) but I'm disappointed. Not with the song. It's actually EXACTLY how I expected a MCR version of the song to sound, but with the fact its the theme song to The Watchmen. The fact The Watchmen has a fucking "official theme song" to begin with depresses me. I thought this was going to be the "Citizen Kane" of super hero movies? I thought this wasn't just going to be popcorn kapow! entertainment, but something new and daring? And this is the song that's going to be the last thing we hear as we head out of cinema's? Something that could easily have been played during the fight scene in Spawn? Not a good omen.

Ugh. What was wrong with the Smashing Pumpkins tune in the trailer?

Well, maybe someone said, "um, wasn't that the theme song (albeit a faster version) to 'Batman Forever?' Do we really want to be associated with that?"
