When you stop and think about it, a band's logo can often be as memorable as the music. People might not be able to name you a Kiss song, for example, but you see a t-shirt with those two slanting S's and most people can tell you what it is. It's sometimes something as simple as reversing one of the letters - and hey presto - you've got yourself an iconic image. Here's Spinner.com's list of the top 25 band logo's. Is your favourite in there? I know mine is.. www.spinner.com/2008/02/15/best-band-logos-no-25/So did they miss any out?

Great list, but it's really missing something:

I call bullshit. The Misfits were way low and a lot of those weren't even logos, they were just the band's name. That shouldn't count as the quality and ubiquity of the band itself dictates the recognizability rather then the coolness of the logo. That said, eat this: And how the hell did they forget this: Led Zeppelin, in case you are a rock history illiterate.

I was thinking the same thing. Where were the logos...? I would have liked to have seen Alice in Chains' sunshine logo or Exodus's name in flames, but I never expect to see my favorite bands mentioned in lists such as these.
I was surprised to see KoRn made the list.
