Seriously, guys; this is amazing. We've had this show all wrong. They treat legendary music with all of the dignity ad respect that it deserves like no other force in the music industry. Check this out!
Totally awesome, right? If the Man in Black were alive today, he'd be so jealous of that dude.

I'm pretty sure this gets played at Guantanamo Bay. Another class A example that the pricks involved in this show may be able to hit notes and sing in tune, but they don't know, or even like, music.

A wag commented on one of my Ammie reviews that they play the soundtrack of 'Eraserhead' at Guantanamo Bay to freak out the fundamentalists. Can't be any worse than that horrible racket the mosques blare out to call them to prayer....

There's a soundtrack of Eraserhead available?
I must own it.

I've read a list of the music they play as torture. Much of it I own. But the classic "Meow Mix" jingle was my favorite pick. Check it out: LOVE THAT! Anyways, here's the list of torture songs. I think The Curmudgeon will be surprised to see his favorite artist on the list with one of my favorite songs of his. There are also some stone classics and obscure metal as well. vicezilla.com/views/2008/02/22/songs-to-torture-by/ Who came up with some of this? How do you get from Neil Diamond to Deicide?

Enter Sandman? Raspberry Beret? Stayin' Alive? Born in the USA? Hells Bells?
Sign me up, man. That place knows how to party.

Goddamn, one of my friends had sent me the Ring of Fire link a couple weeks ago and asked me what I thought. Have people lost all respect for the dead?
I've never seen the torture list before, but I expected it to be filled with Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Exodus, and other such bands. Every once in a while I see a quote from a member of one of the bands on the list saying how he's proud the band's music is used for torture, though, and I get a kick out of that. I believe James Hetfield of Metallica and Stevie Benton of Drowning Pool both took some flak for saying things of that nature.

Metallica got kinda pissy about it. I remember seeing Ulrich whine about it, but most refernces to it online seem to have vanished. Found this, though: www.moviejustice.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1844&mode=threaded&pid=12493 Little bitch. Hetfield tried to play it both ways, but he makes it sound like he's just happy because it means free advertising. Here's the link: www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=104234I saw that American Idol shit lice on the air because my wife suddenly started screaming for me to come see and that's what greeted me. I was pissed, but I couldn't look away. The judges were a riot. That show is so fucking stupid. That new bitch acted like she ws on shrooms and said she was 'confused....but happy" or some shit like that. Abdul and Randy whatsisname thought it was the greatest thing ever like every single other performance and Cowell looked like a bonafide Fortress hero in comparison. At least he has some honesty left in him.
