I've been a busy boy lately. Well, for starters I have a paper to hand in that I've had to ask for a week's extension for. I said I had a family crisis. A total and utter lie - I've had a Nerd Crisis, all because of

Basically, you either scan or type the barcode of the CD you own and the CD comes up with its own artwork, track list, type of packaging.. everything you can think of, and it becomes part of your own CD Database. Anyway, what started off as a trial soon became an obsession. You can even enter MP3's and bootlegs (I've got dozens of Prince bootlegs). Basically, if you listen to it - you can put it in here.
And you know what? It's not even a chore. It's actually kinda fun, if only for the most anally obsessive types. And it shows just how uninspired and worthless music is becoming.
Pouring through CD singles, for example; you realise just what a fine artform it once was; 2 part sets with complimenting artwork, the liner notes, the THOUGHT and CARE that went into creating what is now a small digital image to many people was a pleasure to go through again. Singles I haven't looked at in years I was discovering all over again.
I imagine that most Dweller's here will have a fairly large collection of music. You could do worse than sign up for the Collectorz package. I actually managed to get the full package for free by agreeing to sign up to an MP3 site (it also gave me 25 free MP3s, and then I just cancelled my account - and got to keep the music).
Failing that, take an hour of your day to sit and go through your CD collection; those forgotten singles, the artwork for various CDs.. it's a dying artform, my friends. Enjoy it while you can.
