Because you get public broadcast television like The Junior Christian Science Bible Lesson. I watched the following clip from Charlie Brooker's amazing "Screenwipe" TV show, as he talked about the past and present of children's TV. Anyway, he cuts to one of his TV buddies who talks about the aformentioned American TV show - and the tears were flowing down my cheeks afterwards. I literally couldn't wait to show you guys this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI6Ljm6YhGk&feature=relatedIt's SO good (or so bad) Brooker etc didn't even have to mention the fact the puppet's fucking EAR falls off half way through the show. Outstandingly awful. The clip lasts about five minutes, with the last four being a touching, sensitive and heartfelt tribute to a children's tv animator, producer and narrator that created some of the finest British kids shows of all time. Watch that if you wish, but this thread is really all about Albert Herman and the acoustic guitar playing alien.

I thought you were serious there for a second with that thread title and were in danger of deportation by your countrymen. sarcasm makes the world go around doesn't it?
The Junior Christian Science Bible Lesson, eh? Even the name is terrifying. No Halloween theme necessary. The puppet going on about his ex-wife the crackwhore was priceless. Where does this show come on because that was some trippy shit. Tell me that those guys aren't on shrooms or LSD when they make that.

No racism, smoking, drinking or drugs !? So the point of getting up in the fucking morning is....?
These's bozo's are much more dangerous and sinister than Orlok's nazis.
"I am the image and likeness of God; I am, I am, I am..." It's no wonder humanism is on the rise.
"But the true God etc, now sir, what of him!?" "Oh he's dead. He had his chance and, in modern parlance, blew it."
