In one of those "glad its not me" threads, check out what happens to this poor bastard. The late, great Yokozuna - at this time weighing in at a legit (and astonishing) 600 pounds, the WWF had to suspend him soon after this because he got TOO heavy, is booked to destroy some poor local wrestler. And boy does he ever. It's interesting to note that Yoko works a lot "stiffer" than he usually did, kicking and punching the guy while he's on the ground and not really pulling any of the strikes. Anyway, if you can't be bothered watching the whole match (and listening to the God-awful commentary), skip to around the 4:45 mark. Yokozuna's finishing move was called the Bonzai Splash, which had him climb to the second turnbuckle and then drop down onto the guys chest. Obviously he lands feet first and then gently sits on the guy, but makes it look real. But what happens if he slips? www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgRCCrUM6w8Side note: watch the guy afterwards, reportedly begging the ref to get Yoko off him. His injuries are unknown, but everything I've read says broken ribs. No shit.

Wasn't it the Bonzai Drop or did they change the name? Either way, that was harsh. And then he just sat there with a fucked-up look on his face until the ref made him get up. He had to have known he seriously hurt that guy. Did Yokuzuna die? Heart attack, I presume.

....... shit, yeah, Bonzai Drop. But yeah, he died of a heart attack. The WWE described him in a tribute as a "gentle giant." I don't think that guy would have agreed. How fucking painful must that have been?!

"Gentle"? Can any pro wrestler really be described that way?
