Don't forget! This bad boy is coming up in under a week. I've played the demo and let me tell you, this is what a Batman game should be like. It's hard as hell, but so many ways to kick ass. And these trailers just keep getting better. I wasn't planning on buying this right away, but now I have no choice.
But how's the gameplay? Glad you asked.
But the most efficient and challenging way to play is to never even let the enemy know what hit them.
August 25. I'm counting down the days.

Slobber. I haven't bought a new game in ages, and I can't think of one I would want more than this one.
Question - who's the big monster thing at 1:05, just before the, er, other big monster thing, Bane?

The demo ends as soon as one appears, but I've read somewhere that they're some sort of genetic experiment.

I've got a horrible feeling I'm going to totally stuck at the "stealth" bit of it. It was the same with Metal Gear Solid. I liked getting into fights, and I remember being told I was a "careless soldier" or something by that "psychic" guy that read your game progress. Damn.

You may have problems with this then because you don't last very long against gunfire. Stealth and skillful gameplay is pretty important from what I played. The straight-up fighting is crazy fun, though. Really visceral and the last shot of each fight zooms in in slow-mo like "300" which is super badass. I wasn't planning on preordering this game before, but I did anyways and look what I'm getting as a free bonus for doing so today: I'd pay extra for that! That's going to be my new favorite shirt.

Shit, that TV shirt is a must buy in itself (pity it has the name of the game on it though, just the Jokers face would be bad-ass).

Yeah, but it's a cool logo for sure. Tomorrow it shall be mine.

If you manage to drag yourself from it for a few minutes, do let us know how it is.

Unbelievable. The darkest iteration of Batman yet. It plays out like the ultimate Batman horror film. Croc is just nightmarish and there are these bits where you get gassed by Scarecrow and hallucinate as you go though the level seeing spiders cover the floor and stuff moving on it's own; then it starts raining and the hallway slowly morphs into crime alley and you relive your parents dying. Just awesome. At one point, I was actually trying to find a way free Clayface from his cell. I walked up after freeing the warden and one of the other characters was in the cell begging me to let him out so I was looking all over and when I walked past again, the warden was in there telling me that the one I just rescued was an impostor. After I snapped his picture to solve one of Riddler's challenges dealing with mistaken identities he morphed into Commissioner Gordon and started laughing at me as I received the profile of Clayface for review. Stuff like that is just so cool and surprising. You can collect these interviews with Arkham residents that are sweet as well. Riddler has an interesting new take on a classic riddle. Check it out.
Yeah, this is definitely the ultimate Batman game.

There's a quote on the UK advert for it that just says "Batman: Arkham Asylum is flawless."
Holy shit I need this game now.

I haven't bought a new game in a while, and I really can't imagine one that would be a better purchase than this.
Lookin' good with the shirt too, Trash.
