For you, my friend, because you've made no secret of your game of the year. 8 new characters and mysterious new features including supposed "perks" for owning both the original and the upcoming re-vamp. Lookey here: kotaku.com/5369773/super-street-fighter-iv-confirmed-is-standalone-title So how about it: does this piss you off or are you looking forward to even more awesome? Having not bought the first I may very well end up purchasing this considering they promise a price cut. I don't look forward to having unlock everyone again, but I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped the unlocking old characters in favor of making you work for the new ones instead which I'm all for. Juri's super-move looks sweet!

I can see how some people would see it as a rip-off, but here's what I think; Hey, if every sports game under the sun (including the WWE games, which I faithfully buy) can have an update every year, then why can't the best game ever? And let's face it, Streetfighter wouldn't be Streetfighter without sequels. And if this one sells (which, let's face it, it will) who knows where it may lead? Imagine this version of Marvel vs Streetfighter? As long as there's enough new content, I'm in. Awesome, AWESOME scoop, Trashcanman.

Excellent point. The yearly updates have actually driven me away from sports games, which is for the better financially. A SF4 update is going to be a better deal then another Madden game any day of the week.
