The big deal (let me re-phrase that, HUGE deal) in the UK right now is the decision for Nick Griffin, leader of the British National Party, to appear on political talk show Question Time. Bit of explanation first; the BNP are a notorious far-right political party, opposing gay marriage, calling for a total block on immigration, and basically protecting the white members of the UK. How bad are they? Well, Griffin's been quoted as a Holocaust Denier, there's a video on Youtube of him at a KKK meeting in the US and Griffin's second in command was quoted as calling gays "AIDS Monkeys." In fact, here's a lovely quote from Griffin himself; The TV footage of dozens of 'gay' demonstrators flaunting their perversion in front of the world's journalists showed just why so many ordinary people find these creatures so repulsive.Yeah, pretty much the worst people ever. So for a guy like Griffin to be given national exposure on a prime time show caused all kinds of controversy. Check this out.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl0VWmqtQI8Happy ending to the story, though - instead of putting his views across to a massive audience, he actually came out looking a bit of a laughing stock. He made the mistake of sitting in a panel of people clearly far more intelligent than he was, who ripped pretty much everything he had to say to shreds. But what do you think? Should every party be given an equal opportunity to express their political views and opinions? Why is it acceptable for KKK idiots dressed like fucking ghosts to appear on Jerry Springer, but not for a "legit" political party to appear on a political talk show?

Because people find KKK idiots akin to the monkeys at the zoo who throw their feces at people. As disgusting as it is, you love to see it! I believe everybody has a right to their opinion. Even if it's shit. And I love the idea of exposing these tools for the ignoramuses that they are by putting them in with intelligent people instead of the usual venue where they shout stupidity at people with a megaphone in public. In a controlled environment like a studio, it is much easier to dissect an idiot in front of everybody and take turns ripping the innards right out of their baseless arguments using facts and logic. Give the boy a chance, I say.
