A total change of pace from Week One, this band are (I think) pretty well known in the US but are yet to make any real noise in the UK. That could change with this song, especially given the profile of the co-vocalist. I first heard of the band 3OH!3 through a free (legal) download of a track from their first album. "I'm Not Coming to Your Party Girl" was the sort of fucked up nonsense I like. Minimalist beats, raw vocals, not taking itself too seriously - win. After the far more radio friendly "Don't Trust Me" came out, myself and Mrs C were both kinda hooked. Which is why we're going to see them tomorrow night. It's a small gig (like I said, they're not well known in the UK yet) and I think it'll be a blast. Anyway, you all may hate this (but indeed, that's what these threads are all about, YOUR reactions), but here's 3OH3 with the mouth-watering Katy Perry (she's never looked better than in this video) for Starstrukk. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PNYJQrX36I

What kind of fucked up name is 3OH!3? That whistling makes me what to punch those retards in the face. Sorry, C, but I couldn't have sat through that even if Perry was naked. Okay, maybe if I'd turned the sound down. No, because the sight of those two douchebags would have ruined it anyways. It's like those stupid Girls Gone Wild videos where you sit for 10 minutes while some complete fratboy piece of shit interviews some brain-damaged tart and then has her get neked while he moans and huff and puffs and tells her how hot she is. Any stimulation from the hot chick is completely offset by the complete utter douchebag dominating the proceedings.

Ha.. yeah, I kinda figured YOU'D hate it. And boy, is 3OH!3 a pain in the fucking ass when you're trying to find stuff on ebay and iTunes. It's their area code or something but, y'know, phonetic.
I've always said they remind me of two jocks (especially the blonde guy). Am I mistaken, though, or did you quote one of their songs a while back? I might be mistaken, and I did take a quick look through to see if I can find it, but I'm sure you said something about "Do the Helen Keller?"
Or did I dream that? And if so - why am I dreaming about you....?

This is the first time I've heard of these dicks so if I quoted one of their songs, it was coincidence. So when you say their name out loud do you have to emphasize the middle part and say it like "three OOOHHH!! three"?

Nah they pretty much do that for you. Like, in every song.
Hey, hand up admission time - the gig was pretty damn good. A whole lot of fun, and it was clear they didn't take themselves too seriously. Well, when one singer looks like a taller, thinner Marilyn Manson (without make-up) singing fucking CRUNK music someone somewhere must be laughing behind their hands.
The average age at the gig, though? Ooooh, about 15? Yeah, that was a pretty uncomfortable queue to wait in. And when they walked onstage you'd have been forgiven for thinking the Beatles had reformed, every girl in the place went crazy. But hey, they still packed away their own stuff at the end (they had to wait 30 mins for the crowd to die down) and posed for pictures too. Can't complain about that.
So yes, a majority of people will HATE this band. But after tonight, consider The Curmudgeon a big fan.
