So here's the infamous live performance vid of The Curmudgeon's favorite tween pop tart.
Real or fake? It's likely that the audio has been tampered with (after all, autotune can be used to create OR destroy), but I really want it to be real. Either way, it's fucking hilarious.

Oh man, she sounds like the Squeeky Voiced Teen from the Simpson's. But, yeah, it's fake. I've heard Miley sing live on TV before so I knew it was an obvious audio tamper. Look around Youtube and they've done the same to Beyonce etc. Oddly enough, not Britney "live".. strange, that. So in defence of, sigh, the lovely, lovely Miley, here's the REAL video. www.youtube.com/user/mileyrulesdemidrools

I figured as much, but I still got a kick out of it. Britney doesn't really need her audio tampered with. If you've ever heard her sing legitimately live it's utterly weak. Not out-of-tune laughable, but utterly devoid of any real tunefulness or talent.

You know, I don't think I've ever actually heard Britney sing live. Even on the X Factor, which is, you know, about singing, she mimed. She's easily my favourite pop star who I would never actually pay to see in concert or whatever. Unless she was naked.

She sang live when she hosted SNL after her monologue was hilariously lip-synced. Not without a dozen back-up singers, though.
