At 91, a death is hardly surprising. But that doesn't make it any less sad.
Legendary recluse and author of, officially, my favourite book ever, The Catcher in the Rye, died today. One of those very rare books that stays with you long after you've turned the last page, I find myself having to not pick it up for a quick glance, because it draws me in to read the entire thing time and time again. It's just THAT good.
So we've lost a genuine literary giant. And one that refused for his book to be made into a movie (DiCaprio's biggest regret is that he is now too old to play Holden). Now that he's gone, count down the days until a movie comes out.

One of those books I've been meaning to read since forever. Someday I'll get to it.
