Well, we missed the boat with Spidey 3 with the old site because threads like this weren't possible, but I thought a thread starting with discussions on the casting list up to talking about the actual movie when it comes out will be pretty cool. So if you've got any Hulk 2 chat - try and keep it here, won't you? Anyway, so far so good on the casting. Sadly Eric Bana has stepped away from the purple trousers, but THIS man is going to fill them.. That'll be Edward Norton, then. Awesome - no problems there. And Betty Brant? Step forward Liv Tyler. Nyah, I prefer Jennifer Connolley but hey, it's only the chick, right? The REAL surprise casting is with the villain - Abomination. Yes sir - Tim Roth. Again, a superb actor. So the cast looks cool already. With the news its going to be more action packed than the (still great) first film, this could well be that rare thing; a sequel that surpasses the original.. Thoughts?

Oooooh, The Curmudgeon enjoyed "The Hulk"? That's a surprise because the way most people talk about it, you'd think it was "Batman and Robin". I thought it certainly had it's moments, though it drug on too long, but it didn't deserve the scorn that was heaped onto it. I'm also glad that they're "rebooting" the franchise so quickly rather than treating the property as if diseased for a decade or so, as studios often do after a flop. Smash away, Hulk, smash away.

Hey, I thought the Hulk was pretty much excellent. I think most people (perhaps deseverdly, given the character) were expecting a straight-forward destruction-fest, but then Ang Lee got involved..
No, I really liked it. My main gripe was that the Hulk only spoke once ("puny human" - and even that was in a dream) and one of Hulk's main selling points is his "HULK SMASH!" rants.
But no, on the whole - The Curmudgeon likes. Damn everyone else, right?

Hi, I must admit that I also loved Ang Lee's THE HULK. It's alot better than it's given credit for. Ok, ok. Hulk dogs and weirdo evil dad Hulk were pushing the limits of it, but dammit...the tank throwing ramapage in the desert and Sam Elliot were enough to dull the pain over those two complaints. I did trade off my HULK boxset (with the FIST smashing through) to the local second hand, but it's been well over a year and NO ONE has picked it up! I feel so bad I'm gonna pick it up from the guy. For less than he gave me credit in his store for... Best Regards, InvisibleWolfMan PS. Edward Norton is still questionable in my mind (especially after Eric Bana's fine performance) but I'll give it a go so long as Avi Arad keeps his damn cook out of the screenplay kitchen. And Tim Roth will ROCK us to the core, just as he did in PLANET OF THE APES (come on, he was the best thing in it)!

Weirdly, you can now pick up that Hulk boxset for an insultingly low price..
True, its a shame that Eric Bana has dropped out, but if we HAVE to have another actor as Bruce - hell, we could do a LOT worse than Ed Norton. It'll be nice to see him and Roth chew up the screen.

Here it is then - the first ever promo poster for Hulk 2. And it is super cool. Man, I'm excited already.
