Yup. That was a staple of their live shows in the later years. Might have even made a greatest hits album or two.

The Ramones are a band I really would like to get into, but I have no idea where to start. I mean, I know "Wanna Be Sedated, that Phil Spector produced song and, um, the Mr Burns Happy Birthday song, but that's it. I always get a bit of a philistine guilt trip buying greatest hits albums, so what's a good album to start with?

My favorite is the original greaest-hits album "Ramones Mania". it might not even be in print any more, but as far as single-disc comps go, it doesn't get much better. Most of their old albums are about 20-30 minutes long so compilations are the way to go if you really want your money's worth. Most of the "best-ofs" tend to focus on their poppier-sounding mid-late career stuff, but if you want the early raw material there are two comps called "All Their Stuff and More" that collect all of the tracks from the original lineup. Another great one to get if you want an album proper from the later years is "Mondo Bizarro". That CD is way underrated. Great hooks, crushing guitar, and good lyrics too. So basically, you can get the full Ramones studio experience in only a few discs that way and have the best of their early, mid, and later material without buying a dozen albums or buying the same tracks over and over. If you're feeling lazy there's a great double-disc collection that is the best single collection compiled for their entire career so far here: www.amazon.com/Hey-Ho-Lets-Go-Anthology/dp/samples/B00000JFUY/ref=dp_tracks_all_1#disc_1 58 tracks and almost all of them rule. Some major tracks missing from the early years, but it's really cheap used and if you only make one Ramones purchase, that's the one.

I own the album the song originates from. Man, I love it! The SPEED RACER THEME from there isn't too bad, either! As for the Ramones, I can't help but think of this: www.milkandcookies.com/link/41927/detail/And of course...this one! It of course is not reflective of their earlier stuff, but man those are within their own rights classics.
