I may have been hesitant at first, not being won over by the "I'm drunk in the club" Just Dance (which now seems like it was recorded by another artist) or Pokerface at first, but The Curmudgeon is now a fully fledged Lady Gaga fan. When she performed on the X Factor in December, cutting back to the banal, grinning idiots that we're supposed to accept as "pop stars" was like some sick joke. Lady Gaga is THE pop star we've been crying out for, a world removed from the soul-less, boring drivel spun out by Cowell and co.
As I've said before, the best pop stars (Prince, MJ, Bowie, Madonna) all seem like they're from another, far cooler planet - and Gaga can easily fit that description.
Anyway, you won't see this full uncut video on MTV, in that it shows full frontal nudity, (with just a little bit of blurring), use of the word "motherfucker" and a recipe for poison that has fictional ingredients found in the Command and Conquer games and the Star Wars universe. See, she even loves the geeks.
The song is decent enough, if no classic, but the video really needs to be seen. And it's a ten minute beast, to boot.
