In another one of those "if they'd brought this stuff out a few years later, they'd have been huge" deals, we have British power pop girl (and one guy) band Kenickie. See the likes of Pink and Avril Lavigne and tell me Kenickie wouldn't have made it, too.
True story; I went with a friend to see Kenickie when they were touring their first album. They were in the bar before the gig, there was no-one else there and we were too chicken shit to even go up and try and talk to them. What a couple of pussies.
Anyway, they released one album, became cult heroes without any real chart success, released a second album that sucked and then split up. The (super hot) lead singer is now a bit of a tabloid favourite, and DJs for alternative music station XFM. But it's their debut album with fantastic tunes like "Punka" that I'll always remember them for.
No video, I'm afraid, as everything about them has been pulled from Youtube. I did find this on some Russian (I think) site, so if it doesn't work - apologies. But I dare you to try and sit still during this.
