It'll be just like SFIV, but with tag team action and the crazy aerial combos and all that. Capcom has said that they are going to tone it down a little while maintaining the depth. Old-schoolers are pissed, but I only played a little of MvC2 since I was mostly done with fighters by that time, and almost entirely finished with arcades so I never picked up on the insane combos so no skin off mine. I'm majorly pumped for this sucker, either way.

That's good to hear, I'll definitley be keeping an eye on that one. It was good to see that the Super SFII was available on a budget price (it'd be a bit of a stretch to see what is essentially an update being sold at full price, although the WWE games do it every year).
I haven't bought a game in months now, and I have no idea what decent ones are available. Any suggestions?

Since you've got no Xbox, Mass Effect is out of the question which is a damn shame. Pushing hard for best RPG series EVER that one is. I've been out of dough for months so I'm probably not buying another until the new Halo comes out in the fall and I don;t have a PS3 so I don't know what to say aside from SSF4. Heavy Rain looks unbelievable, actually. Supposed to be like a serial killer story you can play.

Here's a double-whammy for you, fresh from Comic-con. MvC3 gameplay and the announcement of four new characters. Methinks The Curmudgeon will be pretty pumped about at least one of them.
I am pretty pleased at the prospect of playing as Super-Skrull, personally. Chun-Li was kind of a no-brainer so nuts to that announcement.
Now prepare for awesomeness. Here's an actual full-on match.
Did Redfield say "suck it"? Thought they were never going to tag Deadpool in. But he cleaned house when they did! All sort of badassery in that vid. And to think that that build of the game isn't even close to a finished product yet. Holy shit, that is going to be the best thing ever.

I just hope there isn't a million power-ups and combos and all that like the last entries of these sorts of games. SFIV was pretty much perfect.
I said that when you first showed me the intro and.. damn, looks like they weren't listening. I mean, seriously, what the FUCK is going on in that game? Maybe it's my age showing or something but damn.. and did the word "dude!" pop up after a combo? From "Excellent!" to "Dude!" in one genre. Jesus wept.

Well, when the combo counter can get (at least) into the 50's, you tend to have to scrape the bottom of the congratulatory exclamation barrel at some point. I'm from Cali so I can hang with "dude!". But if the game starts telling me "far out, bro!", I'm out.

I'd love to be a judge in that fighting tournament. "OK, Chun-Li.. so you're ready to fight? Good, excellent, good luck out there. So you're a young girl who can do upside down kicks? Hmmm, interesting. Oh, and a nice little fireball thing as well. OK. Well, here's your opponent, a soldier with two fucking machine guns. That sounds fair. FIGHT!"

Or Thor (who's also been announced). I feel bad for that catgirl. Good luck, cutie pie.

For those who are proponents (as I am) of video games as art, I honest to god can't think of a better candidate. Right now I'm going through ME2 with a character who beat the first one, and I just got the DLC packs and shit. Bloody awesome.

Have you played Lair of the Shadow Broker yet?
Best. DLC. Ever.
Hope Kasumi carries over into the next game. Love that teleporting little sneak.

I have all the new missions. I don't think I have all the armor/guns. I got the infamous error because I use my mom's credit card on my account and pay her in cash. So, I don't have Live at the moment. One of these days I will have to spend four hours on the phone with some guy from India who doesn't know shit about this and get it fixed. Though I hear it's slightly easier if you call late at night, since they're less busy when most of America is asleep. And the Shadow Broker DLC was fucking epic.
