Oh yeah.. Mario Galaxy 2. We bought it today (a typical Mrs C purchase; the Collectors Tin edition thing and full guide book, if you ever wondered who it is actually pays for those things, SHE does). And it's just.. glorious. The first few levels have more ideas and genuinely new advancements in platform gaming, whilst still being fairly easy to pick up (if you can get round the running upside down bit. Took me a bit of getting used to from the first game, that).
The Wii, as a gaming platform, is pretty much dead to me now. But the Mario (and for others, Zelda) games just keep its heart beating.
On a side note, I picked up in the PS3 bargain bin Virtua Fighter 5 (used to love the original and haven't even seen a sequel since) and Resistance: Fall of Man. Bit gutted about that one because I thought it was a Max Payne style third person shooter not a FPS, but I think I can cope. It looks pretty gorgeous for a four year old game, anyway. At four quid a pop (about, what, 6 dollars?) I can't argue anyway.

Hell of a deal. The video/game rental store down the street is going out of business. NO amazing deals yet, but I'm hoping to snag Mortal Kombat vs DC or something else for cheap once they get desperate. Right now they are cheap, but not cheap enough. Picked up a couple of DVD's (District 9 and She Creature) for $17 total, but I'm biding my time until they start getting really cheap.
