I always thought that was kind of funny how JRPG's always have you running around smashing pots and stealing shit out of people's cupboards. American RPG's have people fucking attack you if you take their shit unless you are sneaky as hell or they at least call the cops and fine or arrest you. Ever read 8-bit Theater? That is some funny stuff.

Gotta love those losers in every JRPG town whose job it is to sit there and repeat "welcome to [name of town]" over and over until the end of time.
