News and awesomeness not to be missed follows. First trailer for this goes up on Tuesday for the latest from Zach Snyder. Word has it what was shown in San Diego has melted people's brains. Stay tuned for this flick that has just jumped to the top of my must-see list sight unseen based entirely on promotional images and seeing grown man freaking out on camera over the footage shown at Comic-Con. Now I know I've brought up the Iron Man and Wolverine anime projects here before. But what I didn't know is that they are coming to American tv next year and they won't be alone. X-Men and Blade are making the jump as well. Anime vampires are built out of win. See thee the latest badass teaser for Shellhead's latest. g4tv.com/videos/47623/Marvels-Anime-Series-Iron-Man-Coming-to-G4-in-2011/ Did I say vampires a minute ago? How about a post-apocalyptic movie about a vampire-slaying man of God? www.firstshowing.net/2010/07/25/first-full-trailer-for-tokyopop-movie-priest-with-paul-bettany/ I'm wit' it. And then there is this. behold, thee, the mighty Axe Cop. Yes. That is a cop. With an axe. He is riding a carnivorous dinosaur. The carnosaur has gatling guns for arms. But the winning stroke has got to be the sunglasses on the dinosaur. Written by a 5 year old and illustrated by his big brother. Here is the link. axecop.com/Now to bring it on home, brace for a vulgar cosplay of power. I think I've found the woman I'm meant to be with.

OK, where to begin?
Marvel anime looks a-ok to me. Not the sort of thing I'd go out my way to see, but the Iron Man animation is stunning. Not sure how an Anime Blade would actually work. Taking into consideration these cartoons are aimed at kids, will Blade actually be able to kill those vampires?
Priest, on paper, sounds great. But the trailer looks like it has more in common with Van Helsing; cliched action shit with a hard-on for terrible CGI. I'd pass on that till I read reviews. Call me jaded.
So, what is Suckerpunch? A film? Anime? A videogame? And is that a giant robot with a pink bunny face?
Ha - Axe Cop. Very nice. The cynic in me raises eyebrows at the whole "written by a 5 year old" thing, but it does look pretty neat. And dinosaurs with sunglasses? Holla.
Those costumes are great; I'd LOVE to go to one of those things. The girl in the Deadpool outfit doesn't float my boat, nor does Catwoman or Leia, but Emma Frost made me feel, er.. funny.
Good stuff all round, though, Trashy. You ever been to a Comic-Con or anything like that?

Nah. No one to go with. Love to someday, though it probably won't happen. That actually wasn't Frost, it was Morrigan from Darkstalkers (also prominent in the Marvel vs Capcom series). I actually thought it was supposed to be some kind of combination, but she said just Morrigan. Must be an alternate outfit or something. Or she went as Emma last year and had to recycle. They interviewed her on G4 and my mouth was watering like mad. Goddamn, that girl is too much sexy. Given that Deadpool is my favorite comic character, I have to give love to a woman with a smoking body who wears that outfit too. Must be my soulmate.
Sucker Punch is Zack Snyder's next movie. Man, people were freaking out about it. I must see this trailer that's got everyone in an uproar. Priest is an awesome concept, but you could be right about the Van Helsing thing. But anything with vamps is getting my attention.
What makes you say the Marvel anime is for kids? It's going to show on the G4 network which has never been even a little kid friendly. That's a young adult network through-and-through so don't expect fucking Marvel Superhero Squad.

Beware of girls in masks, Trashy. Sure, she could have a body to die for, but underneath...? And yeah, the anime may be aimed at teens, but will Blade REALLY be able to do his stuff on there? I can't imagine him beheading a vampire, that's for sure.

I don't think that will be a problem. Cartoon Network shows a hell of a lot worse. If Buffy can slay vampires in live action, I don't see how an animated Blade will run into trouble.
