You gotta love live news. Here's the story for any American Dwellers, and you'll forgive me for glossing over tedious facts, because it's about football which I fucking loathe. Glasgow Rangers were playing Manchester United in England, which meant a horde of Scottish Rangers fans travelling down there. Now, I don't need to remind you of the image of the typical British (or even Scottish) football hooligan. It's a cliche, but for the right reasons. So, Rangers and Man U played before, and screens were set up all over Manchester so fans could watch the game. Which is fine, until the screens break down halfway through the game. Instant and literal RIOTS occurred. Anyway, that was then, and both the team and fans are quick to try and put that behind them. So it was someone's great idea at BBC News to interview a Scottish football fan about it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=znYJXIw2UKwYes, he just said "every cunt." At 6pm at night. And because of the strong accent, no-one picked up on it. I wonder what the subtitled version would have been?

Gotta love that. At what point did somebody decide "cunt" made a good generalized term for "person"? It's like when "nigger" started meaning "friend". I love how human language evolves.

That's Glasgow, man. It even shocked me when I worked there for a while. No joke, they replace "everyone" with "everycunt." I remember meeting a Scottish guy in Italy one year, and were talking about a guy we had both met last night. He said, without blinking, "yeah.. he's alright, that cunt." Unreal.
