www.1up.com/features/twenty-one-batman-villains-arkham-cityMan, old comics were bizarre. For spending so much time examining obscure villains for that list, they failed to notice that Catman is now officially an antihero badass thanks to Gail Simone's "Secret Six" (although he still won't be showing up in the new game) and Firefly has been done (and done well) in every animated Batman series I can think of. I don't see how they are NOT going to have him in. A flying pyromaniac trying to burn the city down sounds like a shoe-in video game level to me.

As much as I love comics, I really do enjoy reading well-written articles mocking their more absurd moments, which they certainly had in the 50s and 60s. Especially DC, by the look of it.
A shame that they didn't note that Firefly, while not IN Arkham Asylum, was actually one of the Joker's Riddles. Firefly isn't really that bad a villain at all. OK, dorky dated costume aside, he's got a cool name and a more than realistic approach. An arsonist? Pretty sure they exist in real life too.
But Jesus, some of these are more ridiculous than anything the 60s TV show came out with. That Rainbow Beast cover is hilarious.
Reading this sort of shit makes me wonder how comic books are still going around today, never mind how Batman managed to claw himself back into being this untouchable cool icon.
