Nobody does radio like Howard Stern does radio. I just spent an hour or so reliving some classics and remembering just how fucked up this guy and his crew were/are. This list perfectly captures the abject ridiculousness and spontaneous hilarity that follows the show wherever it goes. Can't believe none of the insane ICP appearances made the cut, though. Enjoy. www.ugo.com/best-of-web/the-most-epic-howard-stern-moments-of-all-time

Alright, I've decided to add a couple of my own favorite Stern classics.
[glow=red,2,300]Sharon Osbourne vs. ICP vs. Slipknot[/glow]
So Insane Clown Posse kicked Coal Chamber off of their tour over some apparent merchandising issues and band manager Sharon Osbourne arrived to assault the "juggalos". The result was insanity.
This went on for some time and reportedly there was another band who wanted a piece of ICP after Osbourne left and in walked in an unknown band who proceeded to take over the show.
[glow=red,2,300]Roseanne and Tom Arnold's domestic dispute[/glow]
Wow. This was just uncomfortable. Howard was discussing Roseanne's divorce from Tom Arnold and decided to call him up for his side of the story. The resulting argument was filled with unbelievable awkwardness involving allegations of theft, infidelity, and physical violence. It was like a train wreck you couldn't (figuratively) look way from. You don't get this kind of shit from any other radio show.

It's gonna take me a little while to listen to all of these, but listen I shall. Got a lot of love for Stern.

If nothing else, I know you'll flip over #20 on the list.

There's no DJ would let things like that just carry on, most would go off the air or cut to commercial or some shit. Fuck, what a list. You'd be there for about four years listening to all that.
The ICP/Slipknot thing was interesting. For all ICP's bravado, they pretty much kissed Slipknot's ass as soon as they came in the door. Roseanne Barr looks and sounds like the biggest bitch in the world. Stealing her money and slapping her onto her fat ass should get you a fucking medal. I can't believe that was actually all on the radio. Imagine hearing that live driving home from work or something. Amazing stuff.
As for #20, Iron Shiek is a legendary lunatic. That segment was just... incredible. I finally, FINALLY get the running wrestling gag of Shiek making people humble. I've honestly never seen anything like that in my life.

That's the great thing about Stern's show; he deliberately baits his guests into flying off the handle any way he can. I used to listen all morning while I was working in my dad's orchard and the things I heard were just amazing at times. There have been some great Mr T appearances as well. At one point, Stern said something regarding his mother and was met with a solid minute of tense silence where Stern literally thought he was going to get his face smashed as T maddogged him. The list of horrendously awkward and laugh-till-you-cry moments from Stern's radio show goes on infinitely.
