Now, by "nice" I'm not asking you to list your entire Disney collection. By "nice" I mean - cool. Deluxe. Special. The boxsets or special editions that make people go "ooooh" when they see them.
In the world of DVD, "Special Edition" isn't very special anymore. So it takes something very cool nowadays to warrant bragging rights. Here's my faves..
Battlestar Galactica "Cylon Head" Boxset.

My very newest DVD, and its a show I've never actually seen. But I just couldn't resist that packaging.
King Kong 1933 2 Disc Tin

There are far too many lacklustre DVD's given the "tin" treatment, but this is a suitably epic looking boxset for, well, one of the most important films ever.
Phantasm 5 Disc Sphere
www.amazon.co.uk/Phantasm-Sphere-Collection-Don-Coscarelli/dp/B000B6F8OG
Another thing I had never actually seen before, the quirky boxset had me sold (and I got it from a trade site anyway).
Hellraiser - Lament Configuration Boxset
www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/181010/Hellraiser-Lament-Configuration-Box-Set/Product.html
The first three films before the rot set in. Strange choice of packaging though - don't they basically tell you throughout the movies - "DON'T open the box"?
Sharpe: Complete Epic Series Wooden "Ammo" Boxset
www.amazon.co.uk/Sharpes-Limited-REGION-1-NTSC/dp/B000E1NWPA/ref=sr_1_23/203-3149755-5395136?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1193573393&sr=1-23
This wasn't my idea, this was my wife's "Must Have". After sitting through 15 of those feature length fucking shows I felt like I had been through a war myself. NEVER AGAIN.
So that's my first pick just now. Anyone else have any nice but pointless items?
